Are TikTok Followers needed?

Because:

• There are tons of viral videos where the profile did not have many followers

• Accounts have over 100K followers but only obtain a few hundred views on their content

Let's break down those 2 points......

Going viral has nothing to do with your Followers and everything to do with engagement. The more comments you get on a video, the higher the chance it has of going viral.

The TikTok algo favours engagement over everything else.... if the algo thinks you will like the content, irregardless if you are a Follower or not, then they will show it to you.

When a TikTok profile changes up the style of its content, it's Followers may:

• 🤬 Hate it.... if the Followers don't like it they will skip the content and if this happens more than once, then TikTok knows the content is not engaging and hence will not be shown to all the Followers

• 😉 Love it... then the algo knows you like it and it's close to other content you like.

Essentially, TikTok Influencers/creators are slaves to their Followers as they have to keep their content according to what their Followers want in order to stay relevant.

That's why it is so important to understand what your Followers want and continually create what they want.

Organic growth is so 2021....

It's true.... if you are relying on organic growth on TikTok, that's the same as competing at the Olympics and NOT taking steroids (cough cough Russia).

Right now TikTok is still in it's infancy and building an audience/followers will never be as easy as it is right now....

What is Paid Growth?

Running a TikTok Ad to grow your followers.... it's that easy...

Create a Community Interaction Ad

I won't go into the details of creating the ad as it is identical to all the other TikTok Ads... so if you have done one (you should have by now), then you will be able to create this in a few seconds.

Here are my results:

I spent $303.63 and gained 1,722 Followers

Let's break that down:

• When you grow organically, you may get a ton of Followers that are not your ideal customers (getting a bunch of Followers is cool..... but even cooler if they are old enough to drive 😞)

• When you run paid ads, you are targetting your ideal customer and you end up with a bunch of Followers that like you content and your product (or else they would not have clicked)

• In my opinion, these followers were quite expensive at $0.18 per Follower.... but this was for a broad category (if it was a cat video.... it would be pennies per Follower)

Conclusion:

• Think of Followers as your "Foot in the Door"..... they will get your initial views

• If the content is engaging, those initial views will catapult you to the For-You-Page and that's the first step to going viral
