🔥 TikTok Challenges Amazon

Launches their own e-com store (Jeff should be worried 😥)

🔔 TikTok is rumoured to launch an online retail store in the U.S. further expanding its e-commerce footprint.

The store is set to sell a variety of products, ranging from toys to kitchen gadgets, all under the TikTok brand. An additional dedicated e-commerce tab in the TikTok Shop will support this endeavour.

The move comes on the heels of testing the "Trendy Beat" shopping feature in the U.K. (products were sold and shipped by a Singapore-based company owned by TikTok parent ByteDance). 

Rumours hint that this feature may also be headed to U.S. shores soon.

Despite the new e-commerce strategies still being in their infancy in the U.S., TikTok has enjoyed considerable e-commerce success in Asia. 📈 

Their goal? To grow their e-commerce venture from last year's $4.4 billion in sales to a staggering $20 billion by 2023! 💰

Why you should care? Anything that puts pressure on Amazon is a good thing…. TikTok Shop already has fulfilment and selling fees that are much lower than Amazon’s.

TikTok’s Interactive Add-ons are the new Clickbait (but they work 👊)

It combines interactive elements like popups, stickers, and more, offering a unique way to draw attention from engaged viewers.
