š PLAY BY THE RULES
TikTok Shopās new Affiliate Contact Restrictions

A few weeks ago TikTok Shop limited the outreach to itās affiliates.
The majority of users were using bots to automate and send out 1,000ās of messages per day.
TikTok then enforced this rule:

You can only contact the set number of affiliates based on the previous weekās sales.
In the month before the rule change we sent 180,000 messages and the response rate was 0.5% š¤¬.
TikTok made the change to keep the integrity of the TikTok Affiliate program as tons of brands/sellers were spamming the affiliates (we werenāt spamming, we were sending legit deals but they were buried in the constant messages being sent by other brandsā¦.. affiliates receive 40-60 messages per dayā¦. mostly spam).
There are 3 methods to contact affiliates:
TikTok Shopās Affiliate centre
TikTok gives you access to 1,000ās of affiliatesā¦ but you can only contact the number you are allowed to according to your Messaging Tier (image above).
DMās (TikTok profile to profile)
Affiliates receive a ton of messages on their Affiliate inboxā¦.. but only a fraction receive DMās on their profile.
Email
If an affiliate wants more affiliate deals, then they will list their email address in their Bio.
Of the 3 methods aboveā¦.. 90% of TikTok Shop agencies and brands only use the Affiliate Centre, meaning DMās and Email are an untapped resource.
If you are not using at least 2 of these methodsā¦.. you will be left behind.
Affiliates are the lifeblood of TikTok Shopā¦.. you need them, contact as many as possible (we send out 2,000 emails and 2,000 DMās per day).

TikTok Symphony Delivers

TikTok Symphony is TikTokās answer to AI. It is currently in beta but you can request access.
They have an AI tool that creates āinfluencerā and product videos.

I spent all of 2 minutes creatingā¦.. simply added an Amazon URL and it created this video:
Overall, itās not greatā¦.. but I only spent 2 minutesā¦ā¦
At the rate of AI growth, in a few months you wonāt be able to differentiate between influencers and AI-generated influencers.
Personally, every influencer and affiliate should be worried as this will disrupt their income streamā¦.. maybe this will make them easier to work with š¤¬ .
š§āāļø MEET GENIE
TikTok's AI Chatbot

TikTok is set to launch "Genie," an AI chatbot designed to transform user interaction on the platform. Genie will allow users to ask questions and receive immediate responses, simulating conversations and generating human-like speech and text.
This isn't TikTok's first AI venture; last year, they tested Tako, a simpler chatbot, in the Philippines. Unlike Tako, Genie will integrate all of TikTok's AI features, creating a more robust tool for users. Additionally, Genie could sync with TikTok's generative AI search function from Douyin, enhancing content discovery.
TikTok's move with Genie signals their evolution from a social media app to an AI-powered hub, aiming to boost user engagement and interaction. In the competitive AI landscape, TikTok is not just keeping pace but aiming to set new standards.

TikTok Removes Watermarks

OK, I admit itā¦ā¦
I have downloaded hundreds of TikTok videosā¦. removing the watermark was incredibly frustrating š¤¬.
I used tools like this to remove the watermark.
But those days are overā¦..
Before you think TikTok is being charitableā¦.. look at the bigger picture.
You can only download the clip once it has been postedā¦. so you have to post on TikTok first before you can share the video to other platforms.
So whilst TikTok appears to be helping youā¦.. they are, but they are ensuring content appears on their platform first.
Smart move TikTokā¦. Smart move
